It's not that we hate you or we think you will give miserable ang bao/gifts. We will very much like to keep it small... Although having 36 people is hardly consider small. We just do not want to invite the whole kampong as well, if you know what I mean.

We still love you as a friend / as a family.

R.O.M gown

Yupz. I did that today with my mum.
After not much selection since I already know what i am looking for.
It's something lady, simple and short.
Too bad I can't find anything with colour that I like... so I have to stick with white.

Can't show you the dress coz it will spoilt the surprise! ha
But i can cut and paste a few pictures so you can use your imagination to put them together =)
**It does not reflect the material & pattern of the dress.

Off-white sleeveless dress with sweetheart neckline, tied back, panel full circle hem with lace detailed at the both pleats, hits mid thigh & golden sash.

The last pic looks something like that but it's see through.
You can have a clear view of my back. hahahaha

Can totally understand why girls are so stressed over the gown now.
Even now after I choose it knowing I look great in it.
I am still not quite sure that's the best for me.

Planning a wedding

Touchy issues like how many tables, how much to bao, Jie Mei's ang bao...!!!
Yes... i know now when people tell me "Wedding is nothing romantic."

1) I am choosing my R.O.M gown on 15th Dec.
2) We will be registering tmr at 12a.m. for the date.
3) We are sorting out the invitation cards.

Peony Jade - Clarke Quay

Where we are holding our dinner with a sumptuous spread of Szechuan and Cantonese delicacies.

I didn't said this myself.

Look at the awards they have won up till today.

Look how updated it is! 2008 lor.

Not like some places who won something back in the 1980s and still put it up.

Let's take a look how the interior looks like.

It's seriously quite nice. Very modern and non-retro feels.
But then again, retro feel will be quite cool as well.
White table cloth, metal handle chairs and waiterness in qin pao.

*wondering off*

Anyway back to the restaurate, the food is individually plated.

Very Fusion feel.
Not sure if it's the same wedding dinner.

A quick update

Lots of stuffs to complete and tonne of research to be done.

Even looking for a ROM dress is taking me forever to decide...

... or aleast us to decide on the colour theme...

I really like this.
But is hard for ben to match the colour.

A yellow tie just seem.... so wrong.

Next is the Make-up Artist, I really like the makeup I saw at a friend's ROM.

The makeup artist charge $200 with a trial makeup.

Not too bad.

Then I found 1 which charge $250 with flowers, groom's styling & hair accessories!

But of course, there's no trial.

As I was flipping the magazine, I saw the name of the make-up artist for my friend's ROM.

She's doing make-up for bridal magazine!

Gosh. That means she must be quite good isn't it!

Arghhh....

I am having a headache just thinking about it

We got a date/s!

ROM - 14th Feb 2009 (or 9th May 09)
Wedding Dinner - 06th Dec 2009 (or 31st Jan 2010)

As u can see, we do have a backup date/s.

What's more important?
A nice setting of the hotel or mouth-watering good food from the restaurant?

For me, I will always choose good food over setting.
So my dear guests, not to worry.

I am quite anti toward just signed the paper at the ROM centre and moving somewhere else for lunch.

Reason being

1) The ROM centre is old.

2) The ROM centre is very old.

3) Did I mention the ROM centre is SO GOD DAMN BLOODY OLD??

4) I do not want to take any pictures with the same wooden swing with the foam banner on top saying “Just Married”. One look at the photo, you wouldn’t even need to ask where did u took this photo. The wooden swing & the banner is like the icon of ROM centre. (Merlion at One Fullerton, Cable car to Sentosa… I am sure u get the picture now)

5) The idea of waiting outside the room to wait for your turn to sign the paper is just wrong. We queue to buy 4D or Hello Kitty but getting married? (Ok… Maybe it’s just me.)

Anyway, the Groom was trying to tell me the “benefits” of having it at the centre. The whole sentence started out “Baby! JL say the ROM centre can be quite a good location. They have…….” At this time, he just went silent coz I am giving him a “huh! You are kidding. No way at ROM centre” expression. Like what he said, “You face is totally shutting down the idea the moment you heard the word ROM centre. I can see your “door closing.”

Can’t help it…..

What is the Bride-to-be doing?

Sending emails to hotels while coughing her lungs out.

Now she thinks she has found "The Place"

Now what she needs to do is drag the Groom-to-be with her.
